14th of July - Thursday

Hi!
Today's class we learnt about subject verb agreement. The basic rule for this lesson is Singular subjects need singular verbs and Plural subjects need plural verbs. Pronouns such as everyone and everybody seem plural, but they are always singular — so they need a singular verb. As example ; Everyone who worked on the   science project is a winner. And then, Verbs that accompany pronouns such as all and some will be determined by whether the pronoun is referring to something that is COUNTABLE or not. For example ; Some of the workers on the building have left for the day. Besides that, you have to take note that the words there and here are never subjects. The subject normally is behind the verb, as example ; Here are the papers you gave me. Or another examples is --> Here is my answer.
Before we start the class, Miss Zu starts with the Pre-Test first, and then she starts explaining about verbs, after that, again she gives us a second Pre-Test, this is because she wants to see what we have learn, it's like 'before and after' , do you understand what I mean? Hee Alright, for me, for the first Pre-Test I got only 12/20. For the second Pre-Test, I got 17/20. That is for my 'before and after' result. Everybody's got more higher when it comes to second Pre-Test which is good. Alright alright, for more details about Subject Verb Agreement
